Tile and Grout Cleaning

Tile and Grout Cleaning

Serving the Omaha, NE and Council Bluffs, IA areas.

One of the benefits of having a tile floor is easy cleaning, but your tile isn’t clean if your grout isn’t clean. As a homeowner you know that cleaning your tile and the grout area can be challenging.

Grout is a porous material and allows dirt and other contaminants to be trapped below the surface. Dingy, dirty or stained grout is almost impossible to get clean using home methods. Regular mopping leaves floors with dirty detergent residue in grout lines.

Executive Cleaning Services can clean all surfaces such as flooring and countertops. Our signature extraction cleaning system incorporates heat, cleaning agents, vacuum and a high pressure rinse to remove the dirt that regular home cleaning can’t. We also offer resealing of your tile and grout to protect it for years to come.

Experts in the industry recommend having grout and natural stone cleaned every 1-2 years by a professional. Both natural stone and grout are porous. Soil and contaminants penetrate natural stone and grout approximately 1 to 3 millimeters per year.

Over a period of 5 years that adds up to around a half an inch of penetration. The longer you wait to have stone or grout cleaned the harder it is to extract the soil and contaminants.

With natural stone it is particularly important to maintain regular professional cleaning. Absorption of contaminants into the stone can actually cause the stone to pulverize over time and natural stone cannot be cleaned with the same aggressive cleaners, heat and pressure that are used on ceramic or porcelain tile and grout; therefore making it more difficult to thoroughly clean natural stone and its surrounding grout when it has been neglected for years.

Since natural stone is particularly porous and susceptible to staining it is especially important to seal the stone after cleaning or surface refinishing to protect it.

We also clean and reseal natural stone countertops. Depending on usage, granite should be cleaned and resealed about every 5 years, where other softer and more porous stone should be done every 1 to 2 years.
